Content Update! The World Almanac for Kids Elementary Content Update (January 2, 2018)

A new module has just been added: America in Word and Song.

This important social studies module introduces young learners to the speeches, songs, and documents that helped build and shape the United States, including “America the Beautiful,” the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, the Pledge of Allegiance, and “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Videos and Fun Facts enhance the accessible articles.

A new module has just been added: First Civilizations

This new module contains articles, colorful pictures, maps, glossaries of vocabulary words, and videos that introduce Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient China, and Ancient Maya and Aztec cultures. Each section covers the history, major leaders, lifestyle, and religion of each civilization. Young students can also learn Fun Facts about the ruins of Pompeii, the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and more.

A new module has just been added: Reader's Corner

This new module provides lists of recommended fiction and nonfiction books for young readers, each organized by grade level. Young students will also enjoy the videos about different letters of the alphabet and Fun Facts articles on topics such as “The Rhymes of Dr. Seuss” and “The First Children’s Book.”
